Hari Kesepuluh (15 Februari 2023)
Ibadat pagi hari ini diadakan pada pukul 6.30 WITA. Yang menjadi petugas adalah seksi liturgi Panitia Kapitel. Setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan sesi foto bersama, dan foto masing-masing peserta untuk keperluan pengarsipan dan dokumentasi.
Pada sidang terakhir ini, para peserta kapitel membahas sekaligus mengoreksi draf Akta Kapitel terkait dengan pernyataan, rekomendasi dan keputusan. Sidang ini berlangsung cukup lama, karena ada banyak diskusi dan dialog di antara kapitulares. Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan jadwal misa penutupan kapitel. Jadwal misa yang awalnya pukul 11.00 WITA bergeser menjadi pukul 12.00 WITA.
Setelah sesi berakhir, Provinsial menyerahkan sertifikat dan honorarium sebagai tanda terima kasih kepada Pastor Yong Ohoitimur dan Pastor Igo Welerubun yang telah memimpin seluruh proses sidang dari hari pertama sampai hari terakhir. Provinsial juga mengucapkan terima kasih pada semua peserta yang dengan serius, setia dan sabar mengikuti seluruh proses kapitel. Tak lupa juga beliau mengucapkan terima kasih kepada tim Organizing Committee dan Steering Committee, Tim Sekretariat, dan Komunitas Panti Semadi (para suster, ibu-ibu dapur, tim teknis dan lain-lain) yang selama ini mendukung kegiatan kapitel sehingga dapat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar.
Dalam sambutan singkatnya, beliau menegaskan bahwa terpilihnya beliau sebagai Provinsial bukan karena ambisi, tetapi karena kepercayaan yang diberikan oleh para konfrater MSC. Karena itulah beliau mengundang kapitulares bergerak dan bekerja sama mengimplementasikan hasil-hasil kapitel dalam hidup dan karya pelayanan di tengah komunitas, umat dan masyarakat. Provinsial menutup seluruh rangkaian Kapitel dengan menabuhkan gong sebanyak tiga kali, dan meniup lilin Paskah yang terus bernyala selama sidang berlangsung.
Acara penutupan kapitel dilaksanakan di Paroki Bunda Hati Kudus Woloan. Misa syukur dipimpin oleh Mgr Benediktus E. Rolly Untu MSC (Uskup Keuskupan Manado), didampingi oleh Provinsial dan Wakil Provinsial yang baru sebagai konselebran. Selain peserta kapitel, konfrater MSC yang berkarya di daerah Tomohon, Manado dan sekitarnya, para imam diosesan, imam, biarawan-barawati dari ordo dan tarekat-tarekat lain yang berkarya di Keuskupan Manado, sahabat-sahabat MSC, dan umat awam hadir mengikuti perayaan syukur ini.
Mgr Rolly menyampaikan proficiat atas rampungnya penyelenggaran kapitel. Melalui renungan dari bacaan Injil yang dipilih oleh panitia (Yoh. 15:1-18), beliau mengajak para MSC untuk senantiasa bersatu dengan Yesus, Sang Pokok Anggur sejati, supaya dapat menghasilkan buah-buah kasih dalam hidup dan pelayanan. “Hanya orang yang rendah hati bisa menghasilkan buah di dalam kasih,” katanya. Ia mengingatkan para konfrater MSC menyadari pentingnya membangun kesatuan satu sama lain agar di-charge terus-menerus oleh Tuhan sehingga hidup dan karya kita semakin berkualitas. Dengan demikian, kita dapat menjadi anggur yang baru untuk zaman baru.
Saat memberi sambutan, Provinsial menyampaikan beberapa hal. Pertama, alasan memilih Gereja Bunda Hati Kudus Woloan sebagai tempat penutupan acara Kapitel adalah untuk mengingatkan para MSC pada peristiwa penting ketika Pater Chevalier mendirikan Tarekat MSC. Tuhan mengabulkan doanya melalui perantaraan Bunda Maria, yang kelak dia beri penghormatan secara khusus dengan Gelar Maria Bunda Hati Kudus Yesus. Kita percaya bahwa apa yang hendak kita serahkan kepada pengantaraan Bunda Maria Hati Kudus Yesus, pasti akan berhasil dengan baik.
Kedua, kita hendak bergerak dari ego system ke echo system. Ini merupakan ajakan untuk sungguh-sungguh meninggalkan segala hal yang sifatnya egois, kedaerahan, kesukuan, keprovinsialisme dan sebagainya. “Tujuannya, supaya kita bisa menjalin keterkaitan dengan semua mitra dalam hidup dan karya kita. Hanya bekerja dalam iklim echo system, seluruh karya dan pelayanan kita berhasil. Saatnya kita berkolaborasi dengan semua mitra kita untuk memperluas Kerajaan Allah di tengah dunia ini, kata Provinsial. (Tim Sekretariat)
Day Ten (15 February 2023)
Today’s morning service was held at 6.30 a.m. The officers of the liturgical section were members of the Chapter Committee. Mass was followed by a group photo session, and photos of each participant for archive and documentation purposes.
At this last meeting, the chapter participants discussed and corrected the draft Chapter Deeds related to statements, recommendations and decisions. This session lasted quite a while, due to extended discussion and dialogue among the participants. This resulted in a change in the schedule for the closing Mass of the chapter meeting. Mass was initially scheduled at 11.00 a.m. and was moved to 12.00 p.m. instead.
After the session ended, the Provincial handed over the certificate and honorarium as a token of thanks to Father Yong Ohoitimur and Father Igo Welerubun who had led the proceedings from the first to the last day. The Provincial also thanked all the participants who sincerely, faithfully and patiently followed the whole chapter process. He also remembered to thank the Organizing and Steering Committees, the Secretariat Team, and the Semadi Orphanage Community (sisters, catering staff, technical team and others) who have been supporting the chapter activities so that it could be smoothly conducted.
In his brief remarks, he stressed that his election as Provincial was not because of ambition, but because of the trust placed by the MSC confreres. That’s why he invited the participants to move and work together to implement the results of the chapter in life and ministry work in the midst of the community, people and society.
The Provincial closed the entire Chapter Meeting by symbolically beating a gong three times, and blowing out an Easter candle which continued to burn throughout the sessions.
The closing ceremony of the chapter meeting was held at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish of Woloan. The Thanksgiving Mass was presided over by Mgr Benedict E. Rolly MSC (Bishop of Manado Diocese), accompanied by the new Provincial and Deputy Provincial as the concelebrants. Apart from the chapter participants, MSC confreres working in the Tomohon, Manado and surrounding areas, diocesan priests, priests, sisters from other orders and congregations working in Manado Diocese, MSC friends, and laity attended the thanksgiving celebration.
Mgr Rolly conveyed his proficiat for the completion of the chapter meeting. Through reflections on the selected Bible readings by the committee (John 15:1-18), he invited the MSCs to always unite with Jesus, the true Vine, so that they can produce fruits of love in life and ministry. “Only a humble person can bear fruit in love,” he said.
He reminded the MSC confreres to realize the importance of building unity with one another so that they are continuously charged by God so that their lives and works are of a higher quality. In this way, we can become the new wine for a new age.
When giving his speech, the Provincial conveyed several things. Firstly, the reason for choosing the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Woloan as the venue for the closing of the Chapter meeting was to remind the MSCs of the important event when Fr. Chevalier founded the MSC Congregation. God granted his prayer through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, whom he later honored specifically with the title Mary, Mother of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
We believe that what we want to submit to the intercession of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, will surely work out well.
Secondly, we want to move from the ego system to the echo system. This is an invitation to genuinely leave everything that is selfish, regional, ethnic, provincial and so on. “The goal is so that we can establish relationships with all partners in our life and work. Only through working in an echo system, all of our works and services are successful. It’s time for us to collaborate with all our partners to expand God’s Kingdom within this world”, said the Provincial. (Secretariat Team)
