Hari Kedua (7 Februari 2023)
Para peserta kapitel memulai aktivitas dengan ibadat dan misa pada pukul 6.00 WITA. Petugas liturgi berasal dari Komunitas Daerah MSC Maluku. Misa harian dipimpin oleh Pastor Johanis Ohoitumur MSC, yang pada hari itu merayakan ulang tahunnya.
Pastor Yong, demikian sapaan akrabnya, melalui renungan singkat yang bertitik tolak dari bacaan pertama (Kis. 1:20-2:4a) mengajak peserta kapitel untuk menghayati setiap pekerjaan dan karya pelayanan sebagai pekerjaan kreatif Allah. Beliau mengatakan, “Salah satu contoh menghayati pekerjaan kita sebagai pekerjaan kreatif Allah adalah selalu menyadari dan mengatakan kepada Tuhan bahwa ini karya-Mu, ini pekerjaan-Mu. Karya yang dipercayakan kongregasi dan gereja adalah pekerjaan Allah. Masing-masing diri kita adalah hamba-hamba yang melanjutkan daya kreasi Allah.”
Sidang Pertama
Lanjutan sidang pertama dimulai pada pukul 8.00 WITA dengan moderator Pastor Ignasius Welerubun MSC. Metode yang dipakai selama sidang adalah appreciative inquiry, yakni memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta untuk mendengarkan dan memberikan apresiasi terhadap presentasi yang diberikan oleh setiap pembicara (narasumber). Setelah itu, para peserta bisa memberikan tanggapan, komentar dan masukan.
Pada awal sidang, Pater Provinsial menyampaikan laporan para staf, asisten dan penanggungjawab komisi yang melaksanakan tugas harian antara lain Sekretaris, Bendahara, Asisten I: Ketua Komisi Karya, Asisten II: Ketua Komisi Spiritualitas dan Penghubung Misi, Asisten III: Penanggungjawab Konfrater yang sakit dan lanjut usia serta koordinator para bruder, Asisten IV: Ketua Komisi Pembinaan, Panggilan, dan Studi Lanjut, dan Komisi JPIC (Justice, Peace, dan Integrity of Creation).
Selanjutnya moderator mengundang Bendaharawan (Ekonom) Provinsi, Pastor Andrew Octavianus Paparang MSC untuk menyampaikan keadaan keuangan provinsi selama tiga tahun terakhir.
Sidang Kedua
Agenda sidang kedua adalah membahas pemaparan hasil Google Form: Follow Up Instrumen Laboris yang dipresentasikan oleh Pastor Ignatius Welerubun MSC.
Setelah itu Pastor Alexander Sisko MSC (tim sekretariat) memberikan keterangan singkat mengenai cara memberikan komentar (koreksi atau tanggapan) pada Google Document risalah sidang, sebagai bentuk komitmen penerapan sistem paperless. Kegiatan ini berlangsung dari pukul 11.45 WITA sampai 12.30 WITA, dilanjutkan dengan makan dan istirahat siang.
Sidang Ketiga
Sidang dimulai pada pukul 16.00 WITA untuk menyimak materi yang disampaikan oleh Pastor Johanis Ohoitimur MSC, berjudul “Zaman Baru: dari Issoudun ke Indonesia”. Hal-hal yang dibahas.dalam pemaparan adalah pentingnya kembali ke sumber yakni Chevalier, bagaimana gereja menanggapi perubahan zaman baru dan tantangan formasi.
Selanjutnya Pastor Barnabas Ohoiwutun MSC membawakan materi berjudul “Zaman Baru: Dampak Teknologi Digital dan Masalah Ekologis”. Pokok-pokok yang disampaikan adalah dampak teknologi digital pada masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda, bagaimana pengaruhnya pada masalah ekologis dan bagaimana menanggapi hal tersebut.
Melalui presentasinya, kedua narasumber membantu para kapitulares memahami dampak positif dan negatif zaman baru terhadap kehidupan masyarakat serta kehidupan dan karya pelayanan kaum religus dan imam. Lalu yang terpenting adalah bagaimana menentukan sikap terhadap situasi zaman baru?
Para peserta memberikan apresiasi dan feedback secara antusias terhadap pemaparan narasumber. Pada pukul 18.30 WITA, sidang ditutup dengan berdoa Vesper bersama. (Tim Sekretariat)
Day Two (7 February 2023)
The chapter participants began their activities with prayer and Mass at 6.00 a.m. The liturgical officers came from the MSC Maluku Regional Community. The daily Mass was presided over by Father Johanis Ohoitumur MSC, who was celebrating his birthday.
Pastor Yong, as he is affectionately known, through a short reflection starting from the first reading (Acts 1:20-2:4a) invited the chapter participants to appreciate every work and ministry as God’s creative work. He said, “One example of experiencing our work as God’s creative work is always realizing and telling God that this is Your work, this is Your work. The work entrusted by the congregation and the church is God’s work. Each of us are servants who continue God’s creative power.”
First Session
The first session continued at 8.00 a.m. moderated by Father Ignasius Welerubun MSC. The method used during the session was appreciative inquiry, namely giving participants the opportunity to listen and give appreciation for the presentations given by each speaker (expert guests). After that, participants could provide feedback, comments and input.
At the beginning of the session, the Pater Provincial presented reports on the staff, assistants and persons in charge of the commission who carry out daily tasks including the Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant I: Chair of the Work Commission, Assistant II: Chair of the Spirituality Commission and Liaison of Missions, Assistant III: Person in charge of a confreres who are sick and senior citizens as well as the coordinator of the brothers, Assistant IV: Chairman of the Commission for Guidance, Vocations and Further Studies, and the JPIC Commission (Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation).
Furthermore, the moderator invited the Provincial Treasurer (Economist), Father Andrew Octavianus Paparang MSC to convey the state of the province’s finances for the last three years.
Second Session
The agenda for the second meeting was to discuss the results of the Google Form: Follow Up Laboris Instrument presented by Father Ignatius Welerubun MSC.
Afterwards, Father Alexander Sisko MSC (from the secretariat team) gave a brief explanation on how to provide comments (corrections or responses) on the Google Document of the Meeting Minutes, as a form of commitment to implementing a paperless system. This activity took place from 11.45 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., followed by lunch and a break.
Third Session
The session started at 04.00 p.m. to hear material presented by Father Johanis Ohoitimur MSC, entitled “New Age: from Issoudun to Indonesia”. The matters discussed in the presentation are the importance of returning to the source, namely Chevalier, how the church responds to changes in the new era and the challenges of formation.
Next, Father Barnabas Ohoiwutun MSC presented material entitled “New Age: Impact of Digital Technology and Ecological Problems”. The main points presented were the impact of digital technology on society, especially the younger generation, how it affects ecological problems and how to respond to it.
Through their presentations, the two speakers helped the participants understand the positive and negative impacts of the new age on people’s lives as well as the life and ministry of the religious and priests. Therefore, the most important thing is how do we determine an attitude towards the new age?
The participants gave enthusiastic appreciation and feedback to the speakers’ material. At 06.30 p.m., the session was closed by praying Vespers together. (Secretariat Team)
