Hari Ketiga (8 Februari 2023)
Kapitulares memulai aktivitas hari ketiga dengan Laudes dan Misa. Petugas liturgi adalah komunitas daerah MSC Sulawesi dan Kalimantan Timur. Misa dipimpin oleh Pastor Ignatius Wong Sani Saliwardaya MSC.
Mengutip bacaan liturgi hari ini, Pastor Sani mengajak peserta kapitel untuk memperjuangkan hidup bersama yang kolaboratif dalam karya dan pelayanan. Pada akhir renungan, beliau memberikan pertanyaan refleksi, “Saat ini kita sedang merenungkan anggur baru dan kantong baru untuk zaman baru. Kita mau serahkan apa dalam konteks communio dan kolaborasi? Sejauh mana kita mau ber-communio dan berkolaborasi satu sama lain, terutama bersama Allah sendiri?”
Sidang Keempat
Dimulai pada pukul 8.00 WITA, sidang dipimpin oleh Pastor Yong Ohoitimur MSC. Para narasumber membimbing peserta kapitel untuk mendalami tema “Identitas Religius MSC di Zaman Baru”.
Pastor Ignasius Weleruban MSC memaparkan dua pokok bahasan yakni catatan tentang identitas MSC dan bagaimana memahami identitas ke-MSC-an di zaman baru?
Selanjutnya Pastor Hendrikus Nyong Wawo MSC menyampaikan presentasi tentang pergumulan membumikan Spiritualitas Hati di tengah-tengah tantangan sekularisme, khususnya dalam konteks Prancis.
Kedua narasumber menyimpulkan bahwa walaupun zaman terus berubah, tetapi identitas religius dan pewartaan Spiritualitas Hati masih tetap relevan untuk menjawab kebutuhan serentak pergumulan umat manusia zaman ini.
Setelah menyimak presentasi, para peserta diberi kesempatan hening sejenak, untuk merasakan gerakan batin demi menemukan pemahaman baru yang berguna untuk proses kapitel ini.
Sidang Kelima
Sidang dimulai pada pukul 16.00 WITA dengan moderator Pastor Yong Ohoitimur MSC. Tema yang dibahas adalah “Misi dan Karya Pelayanan” dengan narasumber yakni Pastor Sani Saliwardaya MSC dan Pastor Bern Tethool MSC. Kedua narasumber membantu peserta kapitel untuk meninjau kembali hakikat misi dan perutusan tarekat, bercermin pada semangat Pater Chevalier, pendiri MSC.
Sidang ini menjadi momen untuk menghayati sense of missionaries yakni semangat perutusan saat melaksanakan tugas dan karya pelayanan, di mana pun kita berada.
Misi para imam MSC bukan hanya mewartakan “Dikasihilah Hati Kudus Yesus di seluruh dunia, selama-lamanya”, tapi juga bermisi dalam semangat “Ad Omne Bonum Semper Paratus” yakni selalu siap sedia melakukan sebuah pekerjaan yang baik. (Tim Sekretariat)
Third Day (8 February 2023)
Participants began the third day’s activities with Laudes and Mass. The liturgical officers were the regional communities of MSC Sulawesi and East Kalimantan. The Mass was presided over by Father Ignatius Wong Sani Saliwardaya MSC.
Citing today’s liturgical readings, Pastor Sani invited the chapter participants to fight for a collaborative life together in work and service. At the end of the meditation, he gave a reflective question, “Right now we are contemplating new wine and new vessels for a new age. What do we want to leave in the context of communion and collaboration? To what extent do we want communion and collaboration with one another, especially with God himself?”
Fourth Session
Starting at 8.00 a.m., the session was chaired by Father Yong Ohoitimur MSC. Guest speakers guided the chapter participants to explore the theme “MSC’s Religious Identity in the New Age”.
Father Ignasius Weleruban MSC presented two main points of discussion, namely notes on the MSC identity and how to understand the MSC identity in the new era?
Next, Father Hendrikus Nyong Wawo MSC delivered a presentation on the struggle to ground Spirituality of the Heart amidst the challenges of secularism, especially in the French context.
The two sources concluded that even though times are changing, religious identity and the preaching of the Spirituality of the Heart are still relevant to answer the needs of the contemporary humanity.
After listening to the presentation, the participants were given the opportunity to be silent for a moment, to feel an inner movement in order to find new understandings that may be useful for this chapter process.
Fifth Session
The session started at 04.00 p.m. moderated by Father Yong Ohoitimur MSC. The theme discussed was “Mission and Ministry Work” with speakers namely Father Sani Saliwardaya MSC and Father Bern Tethool MSC. The two speakers helped the chapter participants to review the nature of the congregation’s task and mission, reflecting on the spirit of Fr. Chevalier, the founder of MSC.
This assembly is a moment to live up to the sense of missionaries, namely the spirit of mission when carrying out tasks and ministry works, wherever we are.
The mission of MSC priests is not only to proclaim “Love the Sacred Heart of Jesus throughout the world, forever and ever”, but also to have a mission in the spirit of “Ad Omne Bonum Semper Paratus” which is to always be ready to do a good job. (Secretariat Team)
