Hari Ketujuh (12 Februari 2023)
Para peserta kapitel mengawali aktivitas liburan hari Minggu dengan misa pada pukul 6.30 WITA, yang dipimpin oleh Pastor Wisnu Agung MSC.
Bertitik tolak pada Injil Mat. 5:17 yang mengatakan: “Janganlah kamu menyangka, bahwa Aku datang untuk meniadakan hukum Taurat atau kitab para nabi. Aku datang bukan untuk meniadakannya, melainkan untuk menggenapinya,” Pastor Wisnu berharap kapitulares dapat menerapkan hasil-hasil kapitel dalam menjalankan tugas dan kehidupan sehari-hari, seperti Yesus yang datang untuk menggenapkan Kitab Taurat dan para nabi melalui hidupnya. Yesus melakukan hal ini untuk mengkritik kaum farisi dan ahli-ahli taurat, yang hanya menjadikan taurat dan kitab para nabi bagaikan huruf-huruf mati atau kumpulan aturan-aturan demi kepentingan diri sendiri. “Penggenapan akan menjadi mungkin, apabila kita tetap menjaga dan memelihara kejujuran dan kemurnian hati.”
Acara dilanjutkan dengan anjangsana ke Seminari Menengah St. Fransiskus Xaverius Kakaskasen sekaligus mengunjungi makam para imam dan misionaris di sana. Pada kesempatan ini, Pater Provinsial mempromosikan Tarekat MSC dengan karya-karyanya, sekaligus memperkenalkan para konfrater yang hadir.
Setelah ramah tamah bersama seminaris, kapitulares melanjutkan perjalanan untuk menikmati pemandangan alam yang indah di tanah Minahasa yakni di Tetetana, Kumalembuai dan Danau Linow, Lahendong. Atas kebaikan hati keluarga Merry Korompis, para peserta menikmati jamuan siang di tempat wisata danau Linow. Para peserta tampak gembira menikmati keindahan alam dan keakraban yang terjalin di antara mereka.
Sore harinya, panitia kapitel memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta untuk acara bebas. Beberapa konfrater berkunjung ke rumah keluarga Pastor Ho Tombokan MSC dan keluarga Pastor Oce Rettob MSC.
Pada pukul 20.00 WITA, Pastor Berry Pareira MSC dan Pastor Dwi Rahadi MSC memimpin doa pengantar untuk proses persiapan dan discernment pemilihan pemimpin provinsi yang baru. (Tim Sekretariat)
Day Seven (12 February 2023)
The chapter participants began their Sunday holiday activities with a Mass at 6.30 a.m., led by Father Wisnu Agung MSC.
Contemplating on the Gospel of Matthew 5:17 which says: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I came not to abolish, but to fulfill it,” Father Wisnu hopes that the participants can apply the outcomes of the chapter when carrying out their duties and day to day life, as Jesus who came to fulfill the Torah and the prophets through His life. Jesus did this to criticize the Pharisees and Scribes, who treated the Torah and the books of the Prophets as meaningless letters or a collection of self-serving rules. “Fulfillment will be possible, if we keep and maintain honesty and purity of heart.”
The event continued with a visit to St. Francis Xavier Seminary in Kakaskasen including a visit to the graves of priests and missionaries there. On this occasion, the Provincial Leader promoted the MSC Congregation and its works, as well as introducing the confreres who were present.
After socializing with the seminarians, the chapter participants continued their journey to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery in Minahasa, namely in Tetetana, Kumalembuai and Lake Linow, Lahendong. Through the kindness of the Merry Korompis family, the participants enjoyed a lunch at the tourist spot of Lake Linow. The participants were happy to enjoy the beauty of nature and the closeness that existed between them.
In the afternoon, the chapter committee gave the participants the opportunity for free time. Several confreres visited the home of Father Ho Tombokan MSC and Father Oce Rettob MSC’s family.
At 20.00 WITA, Father Berry Pareira MSC and Father Dwi Rahadi MSC led an introductory prayer for the preparation and discernment process of selecting a new provincial leader. (Secretariat Team)
